Dr. Fox is both a primary care internist and a hepatitis expert at UCSF. She sees patients in the UCSF Viral Hepatitis clinic and General Medicine practice. She is a panel member/coauthor of the VA Hepatitis C Treatment Considerations. She works with the UCSF Hepatitis C ECHO program, the End HepC SF executive committee, the SFCAN and UCSF Liver Cancer Task Force, and the CDC/University of Washington’s curriculum, Hepatitis C Online. She has worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Hepatitis C program since 2002 and as Medical Editor of the VA Hepatitis Website since 2006. In this capacity, she writes, edits and organizes informational content for patients and for providers, from cutting edge data on pharmaceuticals to easy-to-read patient handouts and graphics. She aims to keep the website a top resource on hepatitis and liver-related health for VA providers, patients and the general public.
